The Complete Guide to CBAT
What each test actually looks like, where the practice apps get it wrong, how the day
runs, and the details that catch people out. I’ve tried to be honest about how sure I am of each thing,
because a fair amount of what gets passed around about the CBAT turns out to be shaky.
I started this because the information is scattered everywhere. A bit of it sits in
the official test guides. Much more of it is buried in candidate write-ups, forum threads, years of
archived discussion, and conversations with people who’d walked out of the test centre a few hours
earlier. None of those sources is complete on its own and a lot of it flatly contradicts itself. So I
put everything in one place, sorted out the contradictions where I could, and flagged the ones I
couldn’t. Where a number has changed — and the pass mark is the big one — I’ve gone with what the most
recent people through the door say, not with what gets repeated most often.
